September 2018- MAIS Exceeds $20 Million in Liens


The end of June marked the closing of Rhode Island's Fiscal Year 2018 and a watershed achievement for their Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and Medical Assistance Intercept System (MAIS) a staggering $20 million in liens applied since the State began leveraging MAIS back in 2013.


August 2018- State of Colorado Announces New Insurance Reporting Mandate


The Colorado General Assembly recently House Bill 18-1363 (view the signed version of this here) which mandates insurance claim payment interception to assist with the collection of past-due child support payments. The Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Support Services (CDHS) has partnered with the Child Support Lien Network (CSLN) to help facilitate the process of such payments. CSLN is a proven, efficient insurance intercept solution consisting of 1,800 participating insurance companies and 31 child support agencies.


December 2017- Stellarware awarded contract for State of Indiana New Hire Reporting program


Stellarware is excited to announce that the State of Indiana Department of Workforce Development has awarded Stellarware a four (4) year contract to manage its New Hire Reporting program. As a leading service provider, Stellarware's advanced new hire reporting system is highlighted by our unique Employer Registry and Outreach Module. This program provides Indiana with a new generation of technology, enabling a strong collaborative effort with the employer community. With over 75% of current support collected via income withholding, Stellarware recognizes employers are tremendous partners with the child support community. Our commitment to customer service and innovative reporting tools are the foundation for enhancing new hire reporting in Indiana. Double digit percentage increases in new hire reports, and increased employer compliance have become a standard of new hire programs operated by Stellarware. October 2017- MAIS Momentum Continues to Build With Collection Milestones


The Rhode Island EOHHS's Medical Assistance Intercept System (MAIS) recently achieved the program's highest year of collections to date. Fiscal Year 2017 proved to be extremely successful, realizing an impressive collections increase of 34% as compared to the previous fiscal year. The success of collections is a direct result of the Medical Assistance Intercept Act, which was passed by Rhode Island in 2012, requiring insurers conducting business in Rhode Island to participate in the program.
