MAIS Sponsors AAPWA Conference, Presents to Attendees

The Medical Assistance Intercept System (MAIS) recently attended the American Association of Public Welfare Attorneys (AAPWA) 46th Annual National Training and Continuing Education Conference in Newport, Rhode Island. As a conference sponsor, MAIS maintained an exhibit booth where representatives had the opportunity to interact with attorneys from across the country to educate them about Rhode Island's newest Medicaid tool.

In addition to sponsoring the conference, MAIS presented to attendees as part of a Medicaid Recoveries session. The MAIS presentation highlighted the program's history and results, as well as provided a live demonstration of its innovative websites. The audience was shown how to use the MAIS interactive lookup site to research claims and request updates and received a behind-the-scenes look at the advanced administrative websites used by MAIS and Rhode Island staff to process matches. MAIS was able to make valuable connections at the AAPWA conference, which will prove beneficial as Rhode Island looks to expand the program nationwide.
