Stellarware Awarded Contract for District of Columbia Directory of New Hires
The District of Columbia Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Services Division recently announced a contract award for its new hire directory to Stellarware Corporation, who currently manages the program. Stellarware has operated the DC New Hire project since May 2010, processing nearly 800,000 records to date. Through utilization of its unique and innovative Employer Registry, electronic reporting has increased to its current rate of 91%.
According to its website, the purpose of the District's Child Support Services Division (CSSD) is "To enhance the well-being of children by assuring that assistance in obtaining support, including financial and medical, is available to children through locating parents, establishing paternity, establishing support obligations, and monitoring and enforcing those obligations." New hire reporting plays an integral role in collecting child support by helping to establish income withholding orders from a non-custodial parent's pay check. With 75% of child support being collected from income withholding, it is imperative to pass the District only accurate and complete new hire information to facilitate their collection efforts. Stellarware is honored to continue managing the District's new hire program and looks forward to continued growth in an effort to support CSSD's mission of ensuring financial support for children in need.
